High-quality, precision-machined spindle mounts available in 65mm or 80mm, designed to bring durability, rigidity, and flexibility to your CNC setup.

Our spindle mount attaches directly to our Dominator CNC machines or third-party CNC machines via a machine-specific adapter plate sold separately, giving you a universal solution that adapts to a wide variety of CNC machines. Both sizes share the same external dimensions, ensuring future accessories will fit seamlessly regardless of spindle size.

Adapter Plates Sold Separately

Each CNC machine, excluding Dominator CNCs, requires its own adapter plate to attach the spindle mount securely.
Availability varies by machine. Some plates are in stock, while others may take a few extra weeks as they are custom-made.
If your CNC model isn’t listed, we may be able to design a custom plate with your help. Simply provide measurements, and we’ll work with you to determine whether a custom fit is possible.

Choosing 65mm vs. 80mm

Choose the mount size that matches your spindle body diameter. Many compact 1.5kW spindles use a 65mm body, while many larger 1.5kW and 2.2kW spindles use an 80mm body. Always verify your spindle diameter before ordering.

If you are upgrading from a trim router to a spindle, make sure your machine has the proper clearance, rigidity, adapter plate, and spindle system components needed for the upgrade.

Notes for LongMill Owners

If you’re replacing a stock 65mm mount, note that our mount and plate combination is approximately 7.1oz heavier. If you’re sticking with a 65mm spindle, the stock mount will work fine. Our mount is most beneficial if you’re upgrading to an 80mm spindle.

POWER with WEIGHT!

Let me start by saying the upgrade package is amazing, but did not come without some challenges. The 80mm spindle started causing drift in the z axis, resulting in cuts not staying relative to the z axis zero. This may have been an issue for a 1year old highly used CNC and the X stepper was on its way out, not sure. So the Longmill got a full PM. New bearings, new delrins, couplers, the whole PM package. After completing the full PM, the issue was unresolved even after assigning a holding current to the Z stepper. I then upgraded my Z stepper to a nema 23 HI torque stepper that will be installed this weekend to see if the drift goes away. Otherwise I am impressed with the ease of installation and integration with my Longmill MK2
