Turn a physical object into a digital 3D model. PwnCNC provides in-house 3D scanning in Lowell, Arkansas, for carvings, sculptures, prototypes, and parts you want to reproduce or use as a modeling reference.
Pricing
$150 per hour, with a $150 minimum per job. The listed price is the minimum service charge, not a fixed price for every object. Contact us before purchasing so we can review your object, intended use, and estimated cost.
Billable hands-on time includes setup, scanning, standard mesh cleanup, and file preparation. Unattended computer processing is not billed as full labor. Size, surface finish, complexity, and access to hidden areas affect the work required. Multiple objects can be quoted together.
What you receive
- 3D capture of accessible exterior surfaces.
- Standard scan alignment and mesh cleanup, with overall scale checked against the original.
- An STL mesh file for 3D printing.
If you need another file format, tell us before work begins so we can confirm availability. Completed digital files are released after payment.
How it works
- Tell us about your project. Provide approximate dimensions, material, photos if available, and how you plan to use the file. Include any file requirements supplied by your printer, machinist, or equipment manufacturer.
- Arrange drop-off. After reviewing the project and estimate, we will arrange for you to leave the object with us. Scanning and processing happen afterward; please do not expect a finished file during your visit.
- Receive your files. We will confirm the expected turnaround for your project and notify you when the files and original object are ready.
Scanning limitations and additional services
Scan quality depends on the object. Reflective, transparent, very dark, or deeply recessed surfaces may require additional preparation or may not capture completely. Areas the scanner cannot see may need separate modeling work. Tell us about fragile surfaces or finishes before drop-off.
STL files describe surface geometry. Editable CAD reconstruction, substantial mesh repair, design changes, CNC toolpaths, G-code, and machine setup are quoted separately. Your equipment supplier or machinist should confirm that the file meets their manufacturing requirements.
Physical 3D prints, scaled samples, and repeat production are available at an additional charge. Ask for pricing at the sizes and quantities you need.
