Whether you’re modernizing an existing machine or building something custom, this kit delivers industrial-grade capability powered by the Masso G3 Touch controller and PwnCNC’s proven integration approach.

This kit includes the controller, motors, switches, cables, and power electronics required to run a CNC machine. Cutting accessories such as spindles, probes, rotaries, and ATC systems are optional add-ons sold separately.

Note: These kits are made-to-order. Please allow one to two weeks for assembly and shipment.

A CNC Machine
Most hobby-class and prosumer machines will work, including Onefinity, Shapeoko, OpenBuilds, and custom builds. Look for NEMA 23 motor mounts.

Mounting Locations for Homing Switches
Universal proximity switches are included. If your machine needs brackets, we can provide 3D-printable designs or guidance.

Willingness to Dive In
This is a full electronics conversion. We’ve done the hard work up front, but some machine-specific setup is expected. Our documentation walks you through it step-by-step.

this kit will save you a bunch of time in wiring up the masso, the kit worked right out of the box and made upgrading my DMC2 mini a breeze.

Great Kit

This kit has made a cnc router with very poor electronics and a fantastic mechanical side a production machine.
There is a small issue with one of the cable lengths but a workaround has been provided. It’s still worthwhile getting this kit to make a good machine great.

Excellent Upgrade

The conversion kit is an impressive upgrade for any CNC machine. I have a Shapeoko 5 Pro 4' x 4' machine.

Replacing the controller and electronics was very straightforward. It's worth noting that there are no instructions included in the kit - it's intended to convert any CNC with Nema23 motors to a PwnCNC powered machine. Despite the lack of machine specific instructions, it was clear from all of the connections how to wire the machine to the new controller and power supply. Support quickly got my few questions answered and I was up and running again quickly (I think the conversion took about 6 hours).

The lack of instructions is not a downside - there are so many options for how a CNC machine can be configured that creating documentation would be a daunting task. As I mentioned before, support answered my questions quickly and solved my problems on the first go around. Any machine specific issues are going to be easy to deal with.

The Masso controller is leaps and bounds ahead of what I previously had. Although there's a bit of a learning curve, the community and support are there to help out. With just a change to the post-processor, I'm seeing a huge quality improvement using the same CNC bits and wood from the same board.

The table the CNC sits on is now the limiting factor in how it performs.

Conversion Kit on Shapeoko 5 Pro

Relatively easy to set up. Many more options with the Masso controller. Wiring way better than the stock. Support was prompt with a few questions I had. Would highly recommend!
