ZYLtech Premium Silk PLA Filament
ZYLtech Premium Silk PLA filament is designed for beautiful, high-gloss 3D prints with a smooth, shiny surface finish. This specialty PLA is a great choice when visual appearance matters and you want your prints to stand out with a polished, metallic-like luster right off the printer.
Now made in the USA, ZYLtech Premium Silk PLA offers improved surface shine, reliable print performance, and a wide selection of vibrant colors. It is ideal for decorative models, signs, display pieces, figurines, vases, cosplay props, trophies, ornaments, gifts, and other aesthetic prints where color and finish are the focus.
Like standard PLA, Silk PLA is relatively easy to print, but it benefits from slightly different settings. For best results, print at a higher nozzle temperature, slower speeds, and reduced part cooling to improve shine and layer bonding.

Printing Tips
Silk PLA generally has weaker layer adhesion than standard PLA because of the additives that create its glossy finish. To improve part strength and surface quality, print at a slightly higher temperature, reduce print speed, and use less part cooling.
Increasing extrusion multiplier slightly and adding more infill/perimeter overlap can also help improve bonding between lines and layers. Even with these adjustments, Silk PLA is best used for visual and decorative prints rather than load-bearing or structural parts.
For the best appearance, slow down outer walls and allow the filament’s glossy finish to develop. Store filament sealed and dry when not in use to help maintain smooth feeding and consistent print quality.
