ZYLtech Dual Gradient Silk PLA Filament

ZYLtech Dual Gradient Silk PLA filament is designed to create stunning, eye-catching prints with smooth color transitions and a glossy silk finish. Each spool features two alternating colors that gradually replace one another throughout the filament, producing subtle color variation without requiring an AMS, multi-material system, or multi-color printer.

As your print builds, the colors shift naturally, creating a dynamic visual effect that changes depending on the shape of the model and the angle you view it from. Rotate the finished print and you’ll catch different highlights, tones, and color blends across the surface.

This filament is a great choice for decorative models, display pieces, signs, gifts, cosplay props, vases, toys, dragons, figurines, game pieces, and any print where visual impact matters. The silk finish gives parts a polished, premium appearance right off the printer.

ZYLtech Dual Gradient Silk filament is made for consistent extrusion, smooth feeding, and reliable printing on both Bowden and direct-drive setups.

  • Bed Temperature: 50–60°C

  • Nozzle: 0.4mm standard

  • Layer Height: 0.12–0.28mm depending on desired detail and finish

  • Print Speed: Under 100mm/s recommended for outer walls and best surface finish

  • Cooling: Moderate part cooling recommended

Printing Tips

Silk PLA generally prints best at a slightly higher nozzle temperature and slower speed than standard PLA. Slower outer-wall speeds can improve gloss, surface quality, and layer adhesion.

Start with a generic Silk PLA slicer profile if available, then tune from there. A nozzle temperature around 220–230°C is a good starting point. Higher temperatures can improve shine and layer bonding, but too much heat or too little cooling may soften fine details.

Part cooling is important, but balance is key. Too much cooling can weaken layer adhesion, while too little cooling can reduce detail quality. For best results, slow down visible outer walls and allow the filament’s silk finish and color transition to shine.
