The Big Stiffy series v-bits are designed to minimize the risk of chatter (cut marks on the wood) by using a thicker, more stout body. The extra mass absorbs the vibrations that cause the chatter marks. This gives you a 50% improvement in your surface finish.
With a 1/4" shank, these become the go-to v-bits for home-based CNC'ers when it comes to larger v carved projects and chamfers on your CNC router woodworking projects.
The 'super-shear' blade design is designed to leave exceptionally clean cuts at higher feed rates. This is the v bit to use when your v-carved letters are wider than 1/4" wide.
